 Medical student Reita Faria entered the Miss Bombay contest without ever thinking there was a possibility that she would win it - her student friends had encouraged her to don the swimsuit and smile. But not only did she win, but was also was sent to London as India's Miss World representative. Reita was cool, calm and highly articulate during her interview.

 Where is she now?
 At the finals, Reita impressed the judging panel with her radiant beauty and, equally important, her intelligence. After her one year tenure as Miss World, she refused the modeling and film offer and concentrated on her medical studies. Now a doctor, she has two children and five grandchildren and lives in Dublin with her husband.
