2nd July 2010 Katharine Brown speaks to world's media

As anticipation grows for today's Semi Final matches, Miss UK, Scotland's Katharine Brown spoke to media from around the world outside centre court, Wimbledon.

A former Scottish national junior player and coach, Katharine is currently a Government Sports Ambassador for Scotland. Her new role involves visiting schools and teaching children about the health benefits of keeping active. In the last month she has also worked with the LTA, coaching 11-15 year old girls in master classes around the UK.

Katharine said "Tennis has been a passion of mine since I was four. My goal is to encourage as many girls as possible to take up the sport".

Katharine was interviewed on TV shows including GMTV, BBC News, CNN and ITV news giving expert analysis on the day's play.
