January 18th Scotland will now travel to Miss International as Miss United Kingdom

It has been announced that Scotland's Katharine Brown has become the new Miss United Kingdom, following Chloe-Beth Morgan's successful year, which culminated in her finishing as second runner up at Miss International last December.

Katharine impressed judges at the Miss World 2009 competition, especially in the Beach Beauty Final, where she was second runner up. She also wrote and performed a rap routine at the Miss World Talent Final.

She will now go on to represent the United Kingdom at the Miss International competition, later in the year.
